The internship lasted a month. During this time, neurosurgeons of the Center for Neurosurgery and Neurology, Panteleimon Hospital, Lviv, mastered new methods of minimally invasive and endoscopic removal of brain tumors and the base of the skull. They learned endoscopically to eliminate trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm. And also - they mastered the latest world methods of low-traumatic intervention in pathologies of the spine.
As part of the training, our specialists also visited the leading neurosurgical clinic Juntendo University Hospital in Tokyo, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with advanced neurosurgical equipment.
They took part in the Japanese-South Korean Congress of Neurosurgeons, where neurosurgeons from around the world exchanged experience in treating patients. Our representative Yuri Flis also spoke at the conference. He told his foreign colleagues about the development of neurosurgery in the First Medical Association of Lviv, as well as about extremely difficult patients with neurotrauma from mine-blast wounds, which our doctors need to treat.
Our doctors will definitely start applying all new knowledge in their daily work! After all, our goal is for every Ukrainian to receive the necessary medical care.
